Electro static control is a constant hassle for Gravure printing, coaters and laminators.

Humidity can prevent electro statix on plastic films and static discharge from occuring. AKIMist®”E” can keep humidity between the roll unists by spraying directly into the desired space.
Localize relief with "spot humidification"
It would be unrealistic to humidify the entire gravure printing area. Due to the constant air exchange in a large area the amount of water needed to keep up the humidity would be enormous. Using "spot humidification" instead directs the humidification at those areas where it is most beneficial and most cost effective.
How does the AKIMist®”E” work?
There is a constant exchange of air during gravure printing which makes humidification in the printing area very difficult.
The dry fog humidifier - AKIMist®”E” can be installed very close to the target area and humidify it without wetting.
In the case of gravure printing, we suggest installing the AKIMist®”E” at the feeding unit, the space between each roll unit and the winding part.

Normally a humidifier cannot be installed too close to an object or it will cause wetting. On the other hand, installing it too far away will lead to a loss of humidification.
The AKIMist®”E” sprays Dry Fog, a very uniformly fine mist of a Sauter mean droplet diameter of 7.5 μm, which allows for it to be located close to the target area without causing any wetting.
